What an audit board actually tracks

A Cold Wallet Audit Board is not a KPI wall. If your columns celebrate streak counts or “security scores,” you have drifted from the job: leaving a readable account of what was checked and what remains unfinished.

Four columns we teach first

Facts. Values someone verified in the room. Serials, hashes, seal identifiers — written only when personally observed.

Inferences. Separate from facts. “Likely same batch as last quarter” belongs here, never silently merged into facts.

Witnesses. Role + name (or stable identifier). “Team” is not a witness.

Open questions. Blockers and curiosities that must greet the next sealed session.

What we deliberately omit

Price targets, portfolio commentary, and performance claims have no place on the board. Devlink Core courses stay inside documentation practice. For boundaries, read Not Financial Advice and our Privacy Policy.
